About Telehealth

Why Video?

It is no secret that finding help for your child can be challenging.

Most areas of NZ have only a handful of Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists, and finding an available appointment is hard to come by. Hence we chose to offer our services via Video, to overcome geographical gaps.

Telehealth has been proven to be as effective as in-person sessions, especially when it comes to psychiatry. We are confident that we will provide you with the same high-quality diagnosis and treatment as if you were sitting in our office.

Is it safe?

Our clinic offers video services that are end-to-end encrypted. This means that your video session will be safe from prying eyes and unwelcome intruders.

We are using well tested and readily available platforms, such as  Zoom or FaceTime, which are approved for medical use by multiple countries, including New Zealand.

Privacy and confidentiality are essential to us. All sessions and following documentation will adhere to New Zealand's standards of practice and legislation.

How does it work?

Head to the "Request an appointment" page, where you will be able to send us some preliminary details and briefly tell us what is it that you need. Every request will be reviewed before being accepted, ensuring we are indeed the right service for you.

Once we verify that we are indeed able to provide the nexessary support, you will receive a link to your email for a video session. You can choose the platform which works better for you (i.e. Zoom or FaceTime).

Parents who do not live in the same household can join in from their respective locations, using the same link to the session. And if you have any technical issues with Zoom or FaceTime, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please make sure to position yourself in a place with no interruptions, allowing the session to be as efficient as possible.
